The regional project aimed to assist the 10 ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste in strengthening their capacity to implement the Convention on Biological Diversity provision on access and benefit sharing (ABS) through the development of national ABS frameworks and undertaking regional capacity building training and workshops on ABS issues.
Funding support was also provided by the GIZ Biodiversity and Climate Change Project (BCCP), the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN), and the host countries.
