    REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (REI)

    Consultant for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Project Development

    The ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) intends to apply the sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (PHP 150,000.00) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for Consultant for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Project Development, for a contract duration of three (3) months.

    The Consultant for NbS Project Development will provide the necessary technical support to the ACB in developing project proposals related to NbS for target partners/funders, consistent with the context provided in Section A of the Terms of Reference (ToR).

    Interested applicants shall have the following minimum qualifications:

    a. Education and Work Experience

    • Advanced degree (MS and/or PhD) in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Management, or any related courses with at least three (3) years of relevant experience in biodiversity and climate change; OR
    • Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences with at least eight (8) years of natural resource management, ecosystem restoration, and climate-related work experience in project development and management. Experience in developing and implementing donor-funded projects is an advantage;
    • Working knowledge of project development for the Global Climate Fund (GCF) is an advantage; and
    • At least one (1) year working experience in the ASEAN region.

    b. Skills

    • Excellent knowledge of the English language and with exceptional writing, presentation, and communication skills
    • Able to use computer applications, in particular, MS Office and creative software
    • Knowledge of developing qualitative and quantitative indicators
    • Adept at working within a multicultural working environment
    • Ability to work independently and to manage effectively different tasks

    Applicants should prepare the following and send all to acb-bac@aseanbiodiversity.org:

    • Letter of Intent of no more than two pages addressed to the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) through the BAC Secretariat, elaborating how their qualifications and experiences make them qualified for the position. Consultant for NbS Project Development should be indicated in the aforesaid letter;
    • Comprehensive curriculum vitae; and
    • Completed Personal History Form which can be downloaded here

    Deadline for submission of completed application is on 27 March 2024 at 10:00 AM (Philippine Time). Only applications with complete documentary requirements will be processed. Applications received beyond this date will not be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be given due notice.
